An MIT graduate with multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Heidi has been a patent attorney in Israel and a US patent agent for 30 years. Heidi has written patents in all the high-tech fields. She specializes in turning complicated concepts and highly mathematical ideas into readily understandable patent applications.

In 2002, Heidi opened Heidi Brun Associates as a boutique patent firm, specializing in generating high quality patents. In 2011, she merged Heidi Brun Associates with Eitan, Mehulal and Sadot, becoming head of their Strategic Patent Department. In 2017, she returned to Heidi Brun Associates once again, to build a boutique patent firm. 

Dr. Shimon Eckhouse

Co-Founder Syneron

 

Dr. Shimon Eckhouse is a Co-Founder of Syneron Ltd (NASDAQ: ELOS) and serves as its Active Chairman. Syneron is active in the area of non-invasive technology for aesthetic/medical procedures. Syneron has grown since its inception in September 2000 to sales of $117M in 2006. The company became public on NASDAQ in August 2004 and completed a $225M secondary offering in March 2005.
Dr. Eckhouse is also the founder of a few start-up companies in Israel including Cardiodex specializing in cardiology, NanoCyte specializing in the area of trans-dermal drug delivery, Colorchip specializing in integrated optics for telecom applications, Orsense developing non-invasive glucose measurement devices, Ventor in the area of cardiology, Navotek specializing in medical tracking technology and Tulip specializing in obesity treatments as well as a few other companies.
Dr. Eckhouse was the founder, Chairman and CEO of ESC Medical from its inception until 1999, bringing the company from a concept that he invented in 1992 to revenues of more than $220M in 1998. During this period he developed the distribution channels of the company, created a worldwide sales and marketing organization with direct sales forces in the US, major EEC countries and Japan and a network of more than 50 distributors in other countries. Dr. Eckhouse took ESC Medical public in 1996 and raised more than $250M in 3 public offerings in 1996 and 1997.
Prior to starting ESC Medical, Dr. Eckhouse was Head of Product Development and Technical Director at Maxwell Technologies in San Diego, CA. From 1986 to 1990, Dr. Eckhouse was a scientist, team leader and head of a department in Rafael, Armament Development Authority of Israel and was active in areas of research and development including lasers and electro-optics. Dr. Eckhouse holds a BSc degree in Physics from the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology and a PhD degree in Physics from UC Irvine. He has more than 25 registered patents and published more than 50 papers in leading refereed journals and conferences. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.

Prof. Meir Feder

Meir Feder, Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Amimon
Meir Feder is a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering - Systems, Tel-Aviv University. He is an internationally recognized authority in signal processing and information theory and has published well over 100 journal and conference papers, mostly on data compression and communications. During his academic career, Professor Feder consulted with numerous high-tech companies, including Intel on designing efficient multimedia algorithms for the MMX architecture. In 1998 he co-founded Peach Networks, a provider of server-based interactive TV systems, which was later acquired by Microsoft and in 2000 he co-founded Bandwiz, a producer of content delivery systems for enterprise networks. Prof. Feder began his professional career as an R&D engineer and manager in an elite R&D unit of the Israeli Defense Forces, where he received the "Creative Mind" award for his technical achievements. An IEEE Fellow with several academic awards to his credit, Prof. Feder holds an Sc.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Silvina Grad-Freilich

Silvina Grad-Freilich is the Product Manager for distributed computing and application deployment products at The MathWorks. Silvina holds both B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the National University of La Plata in Argentina and a M.Sc. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ishay Green

Ishay Green is a software architecture professional, with over 17 years of experience. Ishay Co-Founded Soluto in 2008, the company that initiated the PC Genome™ project. Prior to co-founding Soluto, Ishay founded Onigma LTD which was acquired by McAfee after 22 months from initiation. Before that, Ishay worked as a senior software engineer in Envara (acquired by Intel). Ishay also served as a Software Architect and a consultant in several high-tech companies; amongst them are ContactNow, Orckit Communications and Passave. Mr. Green served in the elite Electronic Research and Development Department of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
Mr. Green holds a BA in Computer sciences from the Interdisciplinary Center of Hertzeliya (IDC).

Avner Halperin

Mr. Halperin is a veteran high tech executive. He has served in several senior management positions including CEO of Emmunet, VP Marketing at Radcom (NASDAQ: RDCM), and VP of Business Development at Lenslet.

He also worked as the R&D Manager at Eldat and was the Department Head of an R&D Unit in the IDF Intelligence Corps, where he participated in the Talpiot Project.

Mr. Halperin earned a M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan Fellows Executive MBA Program.

Hezi Himelfarb

CEO, O2Cure Ltd.

 

Hezi joined O2Cure in May 2019, bringing with him more than 30 years of management and development experience in hi-tech and medical device companies. Hezi’s last role was General Manager and Chief Operating Officer in Microbot Medical (Nasdaq: MBOT) that develops micro-robotic devices in the neurology area. Prior to Microbot, hezi was the CEO of IceCure Medical, a TASE publicly traded company that develops advanced cryotherapy systems (cryoablation) intended for the growing physician-office market in the women’s Health and other areas. During his 8.5 years in IceCure, Hezi was responsible for establishing a U.S subsidiary (Memphis, TN) for sales, marketing, clinical and technical support, increasing reimbursement coverage in the U.S and leading the company's transition from clinical phase to commercial sales. Before Joining IceCure, Hezi was the CEO of Remon Medical Technologies, leading the company from an early stage incubator start-up, through several innovation and development cycles, including successful human trials in the U.S, Europe and Asia. At the end of 2008, Hezi led the acquisition of Remon by Boston Scientific ($100M+). Prior to Remon, Hezi spent 4 years in Medtronic InStent Israel. At Medtronic, he was responsible for, the integration of InStent into Medtronic’s vascular group and managing the company’s Israeli facility, including managing clinical studies in the U.S, Europe and Asia as well as marketing activities. Prior to Medtronic, Hezi spent 14 years at Scitex Corporation, where he held positions including engineering manager, hardware designer, software programmer and project leader. Hezi holds a B.Sc. in electronic engineering and an M.B.A , both from Tel-Aviv University.

 

Elan Oren

 

An entrepreneur and senior executive with a great passion to technology and innovation, Elan has more then 25 years experience in leading start-ups to success.

In 2011 Elan co-founded Appforma and served as its CEO. Appforma developed a unique SaaS, AI based social media marketing platform that enables e-tailers to automatically create and manage their online social marketing campaigns. In 2016 Appforma's was acquired by Algomizer (TASE: ALMO).

Between 2008-2010 Elan was the CEO of Interlogic. The company was the developer & operator one of the world’s largest online gaming platforms in its domain, Play65. In its peak the company had an annual turnover of over $40M.

In 2004 Elan co-founded Leanway and served as its CEO. Leanway pioneered the field of Complex Event Processing (CEP) technology in a Big Data environment. The company enabled large enterprises to easily modify their systems to process up-to 50x more data and transactions/sec with very high ROI. In 2007, Leanway was acquired by Amdocs (NYSX:DOX).

Between 2000 and 2014 Elan served as the CEO of iMash. During this time iMash became one of the world's leading file-sharing (P2P) companies (with Napster and later Kazza) and a highly profitable one. In 2003 iMash was chosen as one of the leading Internet companies in Israel.

Rina Pridor

An attorney, graduate of the Hebrew University's Law school and a member of the Israeli Bar.
Participated in the early seventies in establishing the office of the Chief Scientist in the Ministry of Industry & Trade.
In 1978 moved to the private sector joining Worldtech Israel Ltd,
a private company representing foreign investments in industrial R&D projects in Israel.
Appointed in 1984 as CEO of the company.
Through Worldtech Ltd. More than 30 $ million were raised in the U.S. and invested in Hi-tech companies in Israel, Start ups' seed money mainly.
Among those start ups were: Teledata, Efrat (Comverse), Oshap/Robcad
(Technomatics) and Lannet - Today leading Hightech public companies.
In 1991 joined again the office of chief scientist in order to establish and operate the Technological Incubators program in Israel.
In her current capacity as the Director of the program, she is in charge of creating the program's framework and its implementation, setting objectives and rules, managing and operating of Government support budget.
Within the frame of this program 24 Technological incubators are operational. Hundreds of R&D projects have been carried out by novice inventors and entrepreneurs which led to new Hi- tech Start -ups.
The program's annual Governmental budget is 35 million dollars.

Yuval Rotstein  

 

​Yuval is a lecturer on Finance & Engineering Economy and Information Systems Analysis at the Tel Aviv University, Faculty of Engineering. Yuval is also a co-lecturer in Business Entrepreneurship courses at Tel Aviv University and had been a teaching assistant in Entrepreneurship and Engineering courses at Tel Aviv University, the Herzliya Interdisciplinary & the MBA program of the Technion. Yuval won the distinguished Rector's award for his achievements in teaching.

For the past 5 years, Yuval has served as the manager of the MIT Forum’s consulting program. In addition to consulting for the MIT Forum, Yuval also consults to start-up companies in the fields of Internet, Apps and software.

Yuval is highly involved with the GEW, Global Entrepreneurship Week, in Israel. Global Entrepreneurship Week connects people through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.

Eyal Waldman

Eyal Waldman is a co-founder of Mellanox, and has served as Mellanox's president and chief executive officer since March 1999. From March 1993 to February 1999, Mr. Waldman served as vice president of engineering and was a cofounder of Galileo Technology Ltd., or Galileo, a semiconductor company, which was acquired by Marvell Technology Group Ltd. in January 2001. From August 1989 to March 1993, Mr. Waldman held a number of design and architecture related positions at Intel Corporation, a manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products. Dr. Ronald Weissman

Chairman of the Software Group of the Band of Angels, Silicon Valley’s oldest angel organization.

 

 

Dr. Weissman has been a Band member since 2007.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Angel Capital Association. He has more than twenty years of experience in venture and angel capital.

Ron was a Partner and portfolio manager for seventeen years at Apax Partners, a global venture capital firm, where he focused on cross-border investing and enterprise software. 

Ron regularly advises financial and corporate venture funds, national and regional governments and G2000 innovation programs about startup ecosystems and venture/angel capital. He also regularly advises companies and funds about business relationships, AI investing best practices and trends, term sheets, valuation and other aspects of corporate deal-making and on SaaS-related business models.

Prior to Apax, he was Chief Marketing Officer and head of Investor Relations at Verity (the market leader in enterprise knowledge retrieval). Verity’s management team won Large Cap Turnaround of the Year (Turnaround Management Association) after the company increased its market cap, profitably, from $50M to nearly $2B. Ron also ran Verity’s successful secondary offering in 1999.  Prior to Verity, he directed Strategic Marketing and European Marketing for NeXT, reporting directly to Steve Jobs. Before joining NeXT in 1990, Ron was a consultant to many federal agencies on issues relating to IT strategy and on the faculties of Brown University and the University of Maryland.

Ron invests in enterprise software, IoT, Fintech, analytics and AI solutions and in Health IT. Between his twelve years as an active angel and his VC career, Ron has led or co-lead 35+ investments, has advised 75+ companies and has served on 30+ Boards of Directors and has had many successful IPO and M&A outcomes. He has judged many pitch events in the US and abroad, has heard thousands of pitches and has mentored or coached many startup teams. He also regularly offers free public training in raising entrepreneurial capital, valuation and term sheet best practices.

Dr. Nuha Hijazi

Dr. Nuha Higazi has a Ph.D in Neurology from the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical
Center, Jerusalem. Dr. Higazi  has a career of 8 years in the Bio-tech field. She has
